Waldorf Football Announces Fall 2025 Coaching Staff

FOREST CITY, Iowa - Head Football Coach, Tyler Chapa, announced Friday the changes within the football coaching staff. These changes include the promotions of Danny Donadio to Offensive Coordinator and Tom Clarey to Defensive Coordinator. Tristan Eames has been elevated to quarterbacks coach for this upcoming season. These changes also include the additions of Kasen Handal coaching the defensive backs and Riley Bardes coaching the Offensive Line.

"I am excited to watch Coach Donadio and Coach Clarey flourish in their coordinator roles. They have both been a huge part of building the foundation and culture of our football program as we transition into the GPAC. These two care about our community and have a drive to get better every day," said Coach Chapa.

Tristan Eames will step into a bigger role as he transitions from running back to quarterbacks' coach. Coach Eames played quarterback in high school and in junior college in California.

"Coach Eames is more than ready for this role. This young man has a great background in football and comes from a prestigious football family. Coach Eames is going to help us change the culture of the program and has already brought in players that fit with what we are trying to build," said Coach Chapa.

Riley Bardes comes to the Warriors from Eastern Washington University where he was a senior offensive analyst and the assistant offensive line coach. This year, Eastern Washington University finished #8 in total yards in the FCS and Coach Bardes helped coach 3 All Big Sky and 1 All American offensive linemen.

"After going through a grueling interview process with over 100 applicants, it became clear that Coach Bardes was the right guy for the job. He is going to bring energy and knowledge to the offensive line room that is going to help propel us to another level. Coach Bardes is going to be a good fit for our culture and for our Forest City community," said Coach Chapa.

A familiar name, Kasen Handal, joins the Warrior Football staff as the defensive backs coach. Coach Handal came to Waldorf University as a player in the Fall of 2020. Since then, he has been a huge part of the success of the defensive back room.

Coach Chapa said, "I am excited to have Kasen join our staff. Anytime you have a team captain and an all-conference football player stay and coach after their playing days are over, you know you are building something special. Kasen comes from a tremendous football family, and I cannot be more proud of everything this young man has accomplished. Coach Handal has already hit the ground running in recruiting, and I am excited to see him push our secondary to a new level."
