Warriors Face Red Raider Open

Orange City, IA- The Waldorf University Warriors' track and field team delivered an impressive performance at the Red Raider Open on April 17, 2025, in Orange City, IA. The event, featuring standout athletes from the women's team, saw several records and personal bests being achieved against their opponents from the GPAC.

Eliza McKown led the charge with a groundbreaking performance in the 1500m. She not only took 3rd in the event but also set a new school record with a time of 4:54.02, marking a key moment for the Warriors. In the 200m, Alexa Torres made significant strides by recording a time of 27.86, which ranks her 8th all-time in Waldorf University's history for the event. In addition to individual success, the women's 4x400 relay team, consisting of McKown, Palisoc, Torres, and Peck, showcased strong teamwork to clock a time of 4:22.18.

The Warriors also demonstrated their prowess in field events. Justice Battle, Faith Haughwout, and Samantha Adams performed in Shot Put. Battle achieved a throw of 10.43m, while Haughwout topped her performance with a throw of 11.30m. Adams contributed significantly with her own throw of 9.78m.

Up next for the warriors is the Maverick Invitational coming up on April 18th in Mankato, MN.
