The Warriors brought a squad of seven athletes (three men and four women), competing across four disciplines: Trap, Sporting, Skeet, and Super Sporting.
Saturday: Trap & Sporting
Saturday's events included Trap and Sporting Clays. In Trap, Nicole Laes and Jillian Kardoes set the pace for Waldorf, each breaking an impressive 93 targets. Fisher Nagel followed closely with a score of 90, helping keep Waldorf in strong contention early.
In Sporting Clays, Nagel led the Warriors with an 81, demonstrating both consistency and focus on the course. Kardoes was just behind with an 80, capping off a solid day for the team.
Sunday: Skeet & Super Sporting
Sunday's events featured Skeet and Super Sporting. Dylan Gotimer posted Waldorf's top Skeet score with a 90, while Brianna Myers (89), Nagel (88), and Laes (88) added strong performances of their own in one of the most technically demanding disciplines.
In the final event, Super Sporting, Nagel again led the team with a score of 41, while Dominik Weaver contributed with a 38 to round out Waldorf's performance.
Despite facing stiff competition, the Warriors delivered a determined performance with multiple athletes stepping up across each event. With only six points separating them from fifth place, the team left the Simpson College Invite with a solid foundation for future success this season. The Warriors are set to compete in the Hasting Shootout on October 4th and 5th at the Heartland Shooting Park.
