Women's Cross Country Run at the GPAC Championships
ASHLAND, NE- The Waldorf Warriors had a great performance overall on Saturday, November 8th 2025 placing 7th in the GPAC Championships held in Ashland, Nebraska.
The Warriors finished out in 7th place out of 12 with a score of 232 improving three spots higher. During this 6k race, the Warriors were able to have significant performances that led to the improvement from last years performance. Finishing first for the Waldorf Warriors was Eliza McKown in 28th place overall and also had a personal record with a time of 23:40.4. She had a 15 second improvement in this course and compared to last year also an improvement in this course by 49 seconds. Eliza is second all time in school history for the 6k, 2nd all time Junior and currently holds the course record for Waldorf. Quincy Griffis with a time of 24:58.0 also had a personal record and placed 49th overall with a 17 second course improvement. She is currently 4th all time in school history for the 6k, is the fastest all time freshman and holds the second fastest time on the Mahoney State Park course for Waldorf.
Brandi Peck came next with a time of 25:12.3 placing 56th overall and having a 13 second course improvement this year. She also improved 2:56 seconds in this course from last year's GPAC Championships. Brandi is the 6th fastest all time in the 6k in school history and 4th all time Junior. Marissa O'Connor followed with a time of 25:31.0 placing 63rd overall making it a season record for her. She improved 6 seconds from two weeks ago in the same course and is the 5th all time in school history for the 6k and 6th all time Junior. Madeline Bean placed 84th with a time of 30:25.84 and established a course PR and is 7th all time Freshman.
Coach Janna Langrell expressed immense satisfaction with their performances at the GPAC Championships. "I am extremely proud of how our ladies raced. I knew we were in great shape and expected to move up in the rankings from last year. I have a really special group of ladies who are eager to get better and run for one another. This was a great way to end the year," said Coach Langrell.
The Waldorf Womens Cross Country team finish off their season on a positive note.
