Men's Bowling Has Strong Opening Weekend at MIBC
The Waldorf Men's Bowling team competed at the Big Ole Open in Alexandria, Minnesota this weekend. This was also our first MIBC conference tournament of the year
On Saturday we completed 5 sets of individual games. After day 1 the men were sitting in 4th place with 4644 total.
The men's top bowler in the individual games was senior Ryan Kaufman. He placed 3rd with a game average of 212 in five games, with his top score being 234 in his 3rd game. His overall score was 1063. Junior Anri Yamashita averaged a 5 game score of 199.6 finishing in 6th place with his top score coming from his second game with a score of 232.
Sunday they bowled 3 sets of 4 baker games. Their sets were 873, 708, 643 for a total of 2224. Freshman Wyatt Craig filled 92% of the frames he bowled during bakers. This brought the men's total to 6868 for the tournament and a 5th place finish.
