Men's Bowling has Successful Weekend in Cedar Rapids
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - This past weekend, the Waldorf men's bowling team participated in the MIBC #3 in Cedar Rapids, IA. It was a fairly successful weekend for the Warriors.
Senior Joseph Walgenbach from Richmond, MI finished in 1st place with games of 267-269-180 for a 716 series and a 238.6 average. This helped the team secure a 3rd place finish. Senior Ryan Kaufman also averaged 206. The men averaged 197 after bowling 3 individual games and 12 baker games with a total score of 5328. The only two teams that finished above the Waldorf Men were Wartburg College (5550) and Spoon River College (5413).
During the Conference Championships the men finished in 3rd going W-L-W. They defeated Iowa Central Community College 3-0, lost to Coe College 1-3, and won against Hawkeye College 3-0.
The Waldorf men finished in 4th place for conference this year based on points. Ryan Kaufman finished 4th in conference with a 203.2 average. Also, Ryan Bejblik finished 5th with a 184.4 average for the JV team.
The Warriors will be back in action next weekend at the Cedar Valley Invite in Waterloo, IA.
