Women's Bowling Has Successful First Outing at MIBC.
ALEXANDRIA, MN - The Waldorf women's bowling team competed at the Big Ole Open in Alexandria, MN this past weekend. This was also their first MIBC conference tournament of the year.
On Saturday we completed 5 sets of individual games. After day 1 the women were sitting in 2nd place with 4350 total.
The women's top bowler in the individual games was junior Jadyn Collins. She placed 3rd with a game average of 180.8 in five games, with her top score being 220 in her 2nd game. Her overall score was 904. Senior Paige Harns averaged a 5 game score of 175.8 finishing in 8th place with her top score coming from her second game with a score of 215.
Sunday they bowled 3 sets of 4 baker games. Their sets were 568, 661, 733 for a total of 1962. This brought the women's total to 6312 for the tournament and a 2nd place finish in our conference. The ladies made match play and bowled against Wartburg College for their first match. In a best of 3 format, the ladies won the first 2 games with games of 159-134 and 224-175. After advances, the warriors fell short to Iowa Central Community College with games of 139-156 and 158-164.
Overall, great first tournament with Hannah Fisher - new head coach for Waldorf.
