Warriors Compete with Doane in Last Game of the Season
FOREST CITY, Iowa - The Waldorf Warriors faced the Doane (NE) Tigers on Saturday. The game concluded with a final score of Doane (NE) 27, Waldorf 17.
During the first half, the game was tightly contested. The Warriors managed to secure the lead, entering halftime ahead with a score of 10-7. This lead was highlighted by a critical field goal scored by Connor Parker and a touchdown from Waldorf's Chris Walter.
In the second half, the Tigers managed to overturn the deficit and pull ahead. Waldorf's Angel Ruiz scored the last touchdown of the game, catching a pass from Chris Walter.
Notable individual performances for the Warriors included defensive efforts from Keegan Streeter, who tallied seven total tackles and three quarterback hurries. Luke Beyer and Jeremiah Heard also contributed with eight and seven tackles respectively. On the offensive side, Luke Valdez caught five passes for 53 yards and snagged one interception. Angel Ruiz also caught five passes for 79 yards and scored a touchdown.
The Warriors finish the season with a 0-10 record.
