MWR-Waldorf Wrestling at Conner Oppenheim Open
CRETE, NEB.- The Waldorf MWR Warriors displayed remarkable resilience and tenacity at the recent wrestling tournament held on December 6, 2025. The men's college-level team faced rigorous competition, with standout performances from several team members contributing to the team's overall success.
Malachi Aispuro emerged as a significant contender in the tournament, securing victories in the initial three rounds through imposing pins and a major victory in the semi-finals, propelling him to a commendable second-place finish. Meanwhile, Noah Avila demonstrated excellent stamina and skill, concluding the day with a 4-2 record and accumulating the most match time among his peers. Close behind him, Shiwoko Shiwoko battled through the elite division, finishing with a strong 3-2 record.
Among the noteworthy performances, Marco Gandy and Ellis Hughes both finished with a 2-2 record. Their bouts were marked by resilience and strategic gameplay, with each scoring points and wrestling through several tough matches.
