Clark & Linteo Earn GPAC Postseason Awards

SIOUX CITY, IA – The 2023 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women's Soccer All-Conference team was selected on Monday. The Warriors saw Jadyn Clark and Samantha Linteo was All-Conference Honorable Mention.

Senior defender, Jadyn Clark started in all 16 games and played an integral part on defense.

"Jadyn Clark played and started all 16 games this season and was the heart of our strong defense this season. It is hard to believe that she is only 8 months off an ACL injury, to come back stronger and with her ability to play in every game with limited breaks is nothing short of amazing," stated Head Coach Thomas Goodman. "Her ability was shown when she had to leave the field this season for 20 mins, and we got scored on 3 times (the most this season in a half) and when she went back in, we held them again. Her slide tackling and work rate is amazing."

Senior goalkeeper, Samantha Linteo appeared in all 16 games and started 13 of them. Linteo finished the season with 109 saves, giving her a save percentage of .779.

Goodman added, "Samantha Linteo played 1198 minutes this season and had a staggering 109 saves and a .779 save percentage, at the middle of the season was sitting #1 in the nation for saves and ended the season in second place in saves with a higher save percentage. Her dominance in goal with her physical ability and vocal dominance is amazing, this from a player who only last season played on the field and was the leading scorer got back into the goal this season and really helped us stay in several of the games."
