Waldorf University Women's Soccer Faces Tough Outing in Conference Match
FOREST CITY, Iowa. The Waldorf University Warriors Women's Soccer team encountered a challenging conference game on September 24, 2025, in Forest City, Iowa, facing off against the Northwestern Red Raiders. The encounter concluded with a 6-0 loss to the Red Raiders.
From the start, Northwestern took control of the game with Marissa Talamantes scoring the opening goal at 22:59 into the first period. Northwestern built on their lead, achieving a 3-0 advantage by halftime. The goalkeeping efforts of Waldorf's AbbieGail Michael were notable, making 10 Saves in the first period.
In addition to Talamantes, Northwestern's offense was bolstered by goals from Lucy Staines and Aliza Edwards, who both scored two goals each, along with a single goal from Isabel Griffin. Assists came from Anna Hummel and Staines.
