Waldorf Women's Soccer Fall to Briar Cliff in last Conference Match

FOREST CITY, IA- The Waldorf Warriors fought hard against Briar Cliff to end their season but fell short 4-2 in what seemed to be an aggressive and intense game. 

In the first half, the Chargers played fast and continued to consistently attack our half but were shut down by our defensive work and movement. The Chargers were eventually able to slip 2 goals in the first half. Coming into the second half, the Chargers slipped another one early but the Warriors continued to push through and were able to score a goal off a high press by Kylie Charles. Kylie scored her first collegiate goal for Waldorf making it a 3-1 game. The Warriors continued to play at a high intensity scoring another goal off a high press again coming from Paige Spatorico. The Warriors stayed in the game with a score of 3-2. As the game was coming to an end the Chargers took advantage of their counter attack and scored once again making the final score of the game 4-2. 

The Waldorf Warriors fought hard until the last seconds of their last conference game and finished their season with a 0-11-0 record and 1-14-1 overall. The ladies are set to play their last match against Faith Baptist on Saturday, November 1st as they will honor their seniors for their time and dedication to the program.
