Warriors Win Big On Senior Night Against Lancers

FOREST CITY, IA – The Waldorf women's soccer team concluded their home schedule with a conference game against the Mount Marty Lancers on Wednesday evening. There were 10 seniors that were honored before the game. The Warriors won 3-0 giving them their first win of the season.
Senior Sydney Boyd (Aiea, HI) scored the first goal for the Warriors off of a penalty kick at the 23rd minute.
At the 35th minute mark, Olivia Cross (JR/Coventry, England) extended the lead, assisted by Heidi Martinez (SO/Orlando, FL) to close out the first half.
Senior Courtnie Turner (Farmington, MN) secured the win with the third goal, assisted by Zoe Silovich (JR/Rock Springs, WY), within the first minute of the second half.
Waldorf senior goalkeeper Maria Gonzalez (Turlock, CA) finished the game with five saves.
The women's soccer team will finish their regular season on Saturday, October 28th with an away trip at Dordt (IA) starting at 2:45 pm.
