Women's Wrestling - Warriors Compete at Missouri Valley Triangular
The Waldorf women's wrestling team competed in a triangular with Missouri Valley College and William Penn University on Wednesday evening.
Alanis Serrano-Rios competed at 101 lbs against Tracey Kessler of Missouri Valley. Serrano-Rios was defeated by fall, 0:00.
At 143 lbs, Niah Smith was defeated by Aniseta Acosta of Missouri Valley by fall, 2:25. Smith then defeated MayLee Edwards of William Penn at 143 lbs by technical fall, 10-0.
In the 155 lbs dual, Genesis Higuera won both of her battles. Against Missouri Valley, Higuera won by a 10-2 decision over Elizabeth Hubbard. Higuera then defeated Kaylah Johnson of William Penn by decision, 4-2.
Brynn Adasiewicz competed at 170 lbs against Danielle Saldivar of Missouri Valley. Adasiewicz was defeated by fall, 1:21. Against William Penn, Adasiewicz lost to Kylee Eastwood by fall, 1:50.
The Warriors will compete at the Lady Warrior Open on Sunday, Feb. 12th in Fremont, Nebraska.
