Waldorf University Men's Basketball Picks Up First Win of Season at Governors State Tip Off Classic
UNIVERSITY PARK, Illinois. The Waldorf University Warriors played two games over the weekend at the Governors State Tip-Off Classic held in University Park, IL. The men's basketball team encountered mixed results over the recent weekend, ultimately picking up their first win of the season on Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors commenced the series with a game against Governors State, where the team endured a tough loss with a score of 105-88.
In stark contrast to their first outing, Waldorf University's performance against East-West University showcased their resilience and capability. Led by Connor Aldridge, who scored an impressive 28 points, and with solid support from Emmanuel Ferguson, who dominated the boards with 14 rebounds, the Warriors capped off the weekend with a decisive 91-60 victory against East-West University.
With a current season record of 1-3, the Waldorf Warriors have room to grow and refine their gameplay. Their sights are steadfastly set on their next match against Martin Luther College, taking place in Forest City, IA, on November 4, 2025.
