Waldorf University Men's Soccer Experiences a Narrow Defeat at the Hands of UHSP
ST. LOUIS, Missouri. In a non-conference soccer game on August 29, 2025, the Waldorf University Warriors faced a narrow defeat against UHSP at Creve Coeur, 2-1. Both teams battled hard in a match that displayed strategic execution by both sides, but ultimately the Warriors fell to UHSP.
The game began with high intensity as both teams sought to establish control. Waldorf struck first when Ahmir Parker, assisted by Anthony Olivera, scored a goal in the 39th minute, giving the Warriors an early lead. Their celebration was short-lived, however, as UHSP responded with a goal of their own from Christian Santoyo just before the half, tying the score at 1-1. Waldorf's goalie, Dickson Phoon, made several key saves throughout the half to keep the game even.
In the second half, the Warriors continued to press forward but UHSP managed to break the deadlock. Leo Harerimana scored a critical goal for UHSP, ultimately proving to be the game-winning score. The remaining minutes saw Waldorf push for an equalizer, but despite their efforts, the 2-1 scoreline remained until the final whistle.
