Waldorf Women’s Golf Wraps Up Day One of GPAC Championship
CAIRO, Neb. - The Waldorf University women's golf team wrapped up the opening round of the 2025 GPAC Women's Golf Championship at Centura Hills Golf Club, finishing the day in 11th place out of 12 competing teams with a team score of 758.
Leading the Warriors was Isabella Heintzelman, who continued her strong spring play by posting a two-round total of 165. Her performance placed her in a tie for 14th overall among a highly competitive field, keeping her well within striking distance for a top-10 individual finish heading into Tuesday's final round.
Ashley Groesbeck followed with a score of 194, while Maddie Carver added a 198 to the team total. Rounding out the lineup were Shelby Effle with a 201 and Ashlyn Gutierrez with a 223. Despite tough competition, the Warriors remained focused and are looking to climb the leaderboard on day two.
The GPAC Championship concludes Tuesday, April 29, and Waldorf will aim to finish the spring season on a high note with continued individual and team improvements.
