Softball has four named as NAIA Scholar-Athletes
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Four Waldorf softball athletes received accolades for their work in the classroom and were named Daktronics NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes.
Earning the academic honors were sophomore Gabby Bierly, juniors Kierra Lynn Schulz and Paige Pierson, and senior McKenna Mentink.

To achieve this honor, a student-athlete must achieve at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at the school.
On the field, Bierly was third on the team in 2024 with 29 hits. Schulz belted three doubles. Pierson collected 15 hits. And Mentink was second on the squad with eight complete games in the circle.
