Warriors Fall in Home Opener to Peru State

The Waldorf Women's Basketball team began the 25-26 season saturday evening with a 85-54 loss to the Peru State Bobcats. Peru State Forwards Erison Vonderschmidt and Kylie Diaz combined for 48 points to lead the Bobcats. The Warriors fought hard in the first quarter, with the lead flipping back and forth 8 times through the first--But the Bobcats burst through in the second quarter to reach a 51-29 Halftime deficit for the Warriors.
Ten Warriors saw action, with Charlotte Mills leading the way with 21 Points on 7-9 shooting and 3-3 from three point range. Senior Cloey Dmytruk recorded a double double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
"Proud of the way we fought in our first game together as a team" Coach Stryker said "we need to keep competing with ourselves to get better every day".
The Warriors will be back in action saturday November 1st @ Judson University, tip scheduled at 1pm.
