Warriors Battle at Northwestern as Cloey Dmytruk has Career Day
Orange City, Iowa
The Warriors stretches of hot shooting and great defense kept the game tight through three quarters, before running out of gas in the fourth quarter as the Northwestern Red Raiders quickly pulled the game out of reach. The Warriors came out the gate energized, fighting through the first quarter to take an 18-17 lead into the quarter break. The Warriors defense continued in the second quarter as they held the Red Raiders to 36% FG and 11% from 3pt range, but free throws and offensive rebounds let Northwestern grow an 11 point lead into halftime. The third quarter was played tight on both sides, with neither team able to grow or shrink the lead much throughout the period. The fourth quarter is where the Warriors ran out of gas, as transition scoring and 27% shooting from the Warriors allowed the Red Raiders to win the 4th 31-10.
Cloey Dmytruk had a great performance on her 21st birthday; scoring a career high 30 points and making a career high eight 3 point shots on just fourteen attempts. Dmytruk is currently leading the GPAC in made 3s with 30 makes in 11 games, making them at a blazzing 43%. Charlotte Mills also added 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.
The Warriors will return to action Saturday, December 13th against GPAC foe Mount Marty in Forest City Iowa.
