Bio

Bri Ebenhoe took over the Waldorf University volleyball team as head coach in the summer of 2017 and continues to build on successful seasons. The 2024 season will mark the Warriors first season as a member of the GPAC (Great Plains Athletic Conference).

In 2023, the Warriors finished 6th in the NSAA, and ended with a 12-15 overall record after losing in the 1st round of the NSAA Tournament. The Warriors were led by 2nd Team All-Conference award winner Kenzie Kidd, who received this award for the 3rd straight season.

In 2022, the Warriors ended with an 11-13 overall record, which included a team best 7 match win streak.

In 2021, the Warriors improved to an 11-16 overall record.

In 2019, the Warriors recorded 12 regular-season victories and were led by two All-North Central Region performers, Kyra Platzek and Elisabeth Tramm. The honor was the second straight year Platzek was named to the All-North Central Region Team as she also led the way for the Warriors in 2018.

The Warriors have rewritten the Waldorf Volleyball program record book during Ebenhoe’s tenure. With athletes achieving 10 Career, 7 Season, and 14 Individual Match Records since 2017.

Ebenhoe is also a professor in the Health Promotion & Exercise Science department at Waldorf. The Warriors have consistently been a high performing academic team over her time as Head Coach of the program. The Warriors have been honored as an NAIA Scholar Team for seven straight years, and an AVCA All-Academic Team six out of seven years. This included the Warriors being honored as an AVCA All-Academic Honor Roll team in 2022-23. The program has had 80 NSAA Scholar Athletes and 36 NAIA Scholar athletes since 2017.

Ebenhoe joined the Warriors after spending seven years as head coach at Aquinas High School in La Crosse, Wis. where she led the Blugolds to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Division 3 state tournament during the 2016 season and produced the best set record in Mississippi Valley Conference (MVC) history. She guided Aquinas to five regional championships and the 2016 sectional title.

Aquinas captured MVC championships in 2014 and 2016, resulting in Ebenhoe being honored as MVC Coach of the Year during both seasons. In addition, she was tabbed as the 2014 La Crosse Tribune Coach of the Year. Ebenhoe also coached the V-Hawk Xtreme 14-and-under club volleyball team from 2010-2017.

While at Aquinas, Ebenhoe coached four all-state selections, 33 all-conference players and 16 players who earned all-Tribune recognition. A middle school and high school science teacher at Aquinas since 2009, Ebenhoe possesses a strong commitment to academics and her past players earned more than 100 academic awards. In 2016, the Blugolds received the WIAA State Tournament Honorable Mention Sportsmanship Award.

A La Crosse native, Ebenhoe graduated from Aquinas in 2005. She went on to attend Marquette University, graduating in 2009 with a bachelor’s of science degree in physics and cum laude distinction. In 2017, she earned a master’s of education degree in positive coaching from the University of Missouri.

Ebenhoe resides in Forest City with her husband, Matt.
