Warriors Fall to #22 Concordia University
SEWARD, Neb. - Waldorf Baseball faced a tough opponent in the #22 Concordia University Bulldogs on Friday.
In Game 1, Lucas Romero was a standout player for Waldorf, driving in three runs and hitting two home runs, one in the first inning and one in the third inning. Anthony Hibl also made a significant impact, hammering a three-run homer in the seventh inning. The game featured a variety of contributors for Waldorf with Cameren Rindone, Atticus Smith, Jaleal Walker, AJ Toulouse, Brendan McKelvey, and Seth Mifflin also crossing the plate throughout the contest. The #22 Bulldogs scored fifteen runs and won the game 15-9.
In Game 2, Jack Kamalski's grand slam and four RBIs in the top of the seventh highlighted the game for the Warriors, bringing home Brendan McKelvey, Lucas Romero, and Atticus Smith with him. Additionally, Isaiah Martin contributed with an RBI when Kamalski scored in the fourth inning. The Warriors' five runs weren't enough to overtake the Bulldogs, who finished the game 21-5.
The Warriors have a week off from competition before their next games against Northwestern College in Forest City, Iowa on Friday, April 4 at 2pm and 4:30pm.
