Waldorf Baseball Faces Off Against Morningside on Day One of Weekend Series
SIOUX CITY, Iowa. - The Waldorf Warriors faced off against Morningside on Friday, April 18, at Bishop Mueller Field to kick off the 2-day weekend series.
In Game 1, the Warriors clinched a 6-3 victory with key player contributions that were pivotal in the outcome. Pitcher Jack Kamalski delivered a commanding start, ultimately earning the win, while Rylee Rauch closed out the game, securing a save. Players such as Atticus Smith, Seth Mifflin, and Anthony Hibl stood out at the plate. Smith had two hits, adding a run and an RBI to the board. Mifflin was particularly notable, striking two doubles and contributing two RBIs, while Hibl also made significant impacts with a double and an RBI. Cameren Rindone crossed the plate twice, showing off the depth of the Warriors' lineup and securing the victory.
In Game 2, the Warriors faced a challenging game, ultimately falling with a final score of 20-10. Despite the loss, the Warriors showed resilience and fighting spirit.
Waldorf's lineup saw notable performances from key players, including Rauch, Rindone, Lucas Romero, and Smith, who all crossed home plate, contributing to the team's total runs. Additionally, significant RBIs came from Smith, Isaiah Martin, Tyler Wytulka, Dylan Battye, and Hibl, demonstrating their critical roles in the offensive efforts of the team.
