Waldorf D1 Hockey Drops to Jimmies at Home
ALBERT LEA, MN – The Waldorf D1 hockey team had their first home weekend series in over one month against the University of Jamestown Jimmies. The Warriors were defeated 7-0.
1st Period: The Jimmies got off to an early lead by scoring two goals in the first period. Waldorf goalkeeper Jordan Berschiminsky (JR/Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) had 17 saves. The Jimmies' defense held the Warriors to having three shots on goal.
2nd Period: Jamestown added four goals in the second period, with one of them being short-handed. Berschiminsky had 19 saves. The Waldorf offense had eight shots on goal.
3rd Period: The Waldorf defense held the Jimmies to one goal and nine shots on goal. The Jimmies won 7-0.
Berschiminsky finished the game with 44 saves.
The Warriors will be back in action tomorrow, January 20th for the second game against the Jimmies. Puck drop is at 2 pm.
