Waldorf D1 Hockey Gains a Victory Over Iowa State University
AMES, Iowa - The Warriors men's hockey team had a good road win in Ames on Friday night, ending with a final score of 3-1 over Iowa State University. The Warriors had a strong first period with a shot advantage of 16-8. Waldorf was on the board early with a goal from Dominic Toews assisted by Liam Wallace and Audun Caple. In the 2nd period, the Warriors extended their lead on an Audun Caple goal assisted by Zak Molstad and Arturas Laurynavichus. Peyton Inks scored Waldorf's third goal with assists by Liam Wallace and Geoff Dick. The Warriors went 2 for 5 on the power play while killing off all penalties throughout the game. The shot total was in favor of the Warriors 43-42.
Waldorf and Iowa State complete their four game series on Saturday, October 25 at the Mason City Arena in Mason City, Iowa. Puck drop is 7pm.
