Men's D2 Hockey Encounter Tough Loss Against Lake Region State College

DEVILS LAKE, N.D. - The Waldorf University Warriors faced a challenging weekend series against the Lake Region State College Royals on October 4. Despite a strong start, the Warriors were unable to clinch a win, ending the game with a 7-4 defeat.

The first period saw goals from Vincent Hunt assisted by Blake Raddatz and Anthony Aulisio assisted by Vincent Hunt. By the end of the first period, the score stood at 3-2, keeping the game competitive. As the match progressed to the second period, the gap widened, but Hunt managed to score again assisted by Stephen Mosgopoulos making it a 7-3 game.

In the third period, Connor Edlund slipped another goal past the Royals assisted by Tony Romani, but it wasn't enough to bridge the gap. The final score was 7-4 in favor of the Royals. Notably, Vincent Hunt had a good match by scoring two goals and assisting on another throughout the game.

Goaltenders Treyson Boesch made 33 saves and Zane Redfern finishing off the match with a clean sheet of 9 shots on goal.

Looking ahead, the Warriors will meet Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska on October 17.
